First launch: let shader compilation finish

The first launch compiles shaders before play. Wait for completion. Keeping the game in the background can lower its CPU priority and make compilation take longer.^[1]

Choose the correct audio playback device

Connect a PC controller with a data-capable USB cable

For PC controllers, S-GAME recommends a USB cable that carries data. A charging-only cable is insufficient. Some advanced DualSense haptic effects can be limited over Bluetooth.^[1]

Missing DualSense haptics: check Windows audio devices

If DualSense haptics are absent or their settings are unavailable on PC, check that Windows has not disabled the controller’s audio device. Some haptic functions need that device enabled. To send sound elsewhere, change the default output device instead of disabling the controller’s audio device.^[1]

HDR unavailable: check Windows and AMD settings

1. Enable display HDR

   Confirm that the display supports HDR. In Windows Settings → System → Display, enable HDR for that display.^[1]

2. Check the AMD-specific option

   If HDR remains unavailable with an AMD GPU, switch off “10-Bit Pixel Format” in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition, then restart the game. This option is different from the display’s 10-bit color-depth setting.^[1]

Does a preloaded copy need another update?

Yes. The support page describes a roughly 5 GB day-one patch with ray-tracing and path-tracing performance improvements and bug fixes. Preloaded copies must update before play; fresh downloads include the update. Leave enough free space and allow client checks and updates to complete.^[1]

What should I prepare before downloading?

• Use an SSD. S-GAME suggests avoiding the Windows system drive, usually C:, when possible to reduce competing system reads and writes.^[1]

How much free disk space does downloading need?

The support page describes a package of about 150 GB and asks for at least 160 GB free on the target SSD for downloading, unpacking and verification. If space is insufficient, clear space or change the install location before retrying. Insufficient space can cause download or installation failures.^[1]

This is a different reference from the Steam listing’s 145 GB and the earlier 300 GB preload staging notice. The capacity checker now defaults to the support page’s 160 GB requirement; the earlier preload figure remains explicitly historical.

Can I install the game on a mechanical hard drive?

The official requirement is an SSD. Check the device type under Task Manager → Performance, opened with Ctrl+Shift+Esc or from the taskbar menu. The page also suggests an installation drive other than C: when possible, to reduce competing system activity.^[1]

What if downloading is slow, stuck or fails?

Treasure Basin increases the drop rate of the resource called 意识尘埃 by 10%. “Consciousness Dust” is a descriptive translation here; the official English UI name has not been verified.^[1]

Why does a small patch ask for much more free space?

Patch download size and working space are different. During updates, the client may keep temporary files and verify, replace or reorganize existing files. Required free space can therefore exceed the download size. Follow the client’s space prompt before continuing.^[1]

Record the problem and whether it occurs at startup, while loading or during a particular gameplay scene. The FAQ points to the official Chinese support route for reports.^[1]

What information should I include in a support report?

   Launch the game, choose Load Game and inspect the recovered save. Once it is correct, save a memory at a bell. Exit the game and wait for Steam Cloud to finish uploading before reopening the game.^[1]

What does the Chinese support form ask for?

• Choose a platform: Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Steam, WeGame, TapTap or Migu. This form list does not itself establish a native release on every listed service.^[1]
